Meet the Team

Ms. Mary W. Winter, a graduate of Emory Law School, has a wide range of experience in the legal market. Her experience includes seven years in a major national law firm, a year as general counsel of a corporation, and since 1995, she has worked in the legal placement industry. Respected by her peers and colleagues, Ms. Winter has held numerous volunteer and elected positions, including Board Member and over 10 years as Chair of the Membership Committee of the Association of Corporate Counsel National Capital Region, Chair of the Corporate Counsel Committee of the Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law Section of the DC Bar, Board Member and Secretary and Chair of the Career Development Committee and Working Parents Forum of the DC Women’s Bar Association, and Business Firm Leader of the Council for Court Excellence. After raising two wonderful young men, Alan and Kent, Mary lives with her husband Dan and three canines: a Golden and two Vizslas.

Ms. Nicole Desbois is a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law, where she graduated in the top ten percent of students. Her experience includes clerking for the Honorable Brett A. Kassabian in the Fairfax County Circuit Court, working as a Real Estate Transactional Associate with a major national law firm, and working as a Litigation Associate with a prominent local firm in Reston, Virginia. After having her son, Nicole took the chance to change the direction of her career, joining Firm Advice, where she utilizes her legal background to facilitate the legal search process. Nicole truly enjoys partnering and meaningfully connecting with professionals to help them achieve their ideal career. Nicole lives in Reston with her husband and son. She enjoys working out and reading; she is always open to a good book recommendation!

Ms. Agne Stone moved from Lithuania to the United States in 2016. After graduating from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Humanities and Social Science in Psychology, Agne shifted her focus from personal development to organizational improvement. She recently graduated from George Washington University with a Master of Organizational Leadership and Learning, focusing on interrelationships among people and organizations. Agne aims to use her education to maximize people’s development and performance by carefully evaluating the situation and meeting the needs of both candidates and clients. When not helping others through her vocation, Agne enjoys spending time with her husband Mantas and their baby daughter, Abigail.

Ms. Christie Peake is a graduate of the University of Alabama. She has over 5 years of experience recruiting for a Fortune 500 company, as well as experience recruiting for a highly regarded staffing agency. While working and learning with some of the best talent teams in the nation, Christie has helped her clients find top quality candidates and connected professionals with their next career move. Christie has worked in a broad range of industries, including finance, federal consulting, technology, and legal. Outside of work, Christie enjoys time with her husband Daniel, their son Schrader, and their Australian Shepherd Sully.

Kathryn (Katie) Chapman (she/her/hers) is a graduate of Emerson College. She spent four years in-house at Am100 law firms recruiting senior level attorneys and brings additional talent sourcing and staffing experience in the law firm and corporate settings. Before her recruiting career, Katie worked in account management roles for digital, creative and marketing agencies, servicing client rosters spanning industries from telecom to fast casual. She understands the importance of client service and attention to detail, and will leave no stone unturned in her efforts to find the right fit for our clients and candidates. Katie lives in Reston, VA with her husband, son and dog, and spends her time off exploring national parks and cheering on her son’s tee ball team.
